“Clair and Mark share their story so bravely.
They are teachers and true beauties, and each so wise and kind.”
Antony Hegarty - Antony & The Johnsons
The music in RED WITHOUT BLUE is just one more example of how the artistic community rallied behind the making of this film. A few of the songs are written and performed by established musicians whose music we have known and loved for quite some time, but most of the music came from emerging artists that we found on myspace, some of whom recorded their songs from their dorm rooms in college.
RWB was made on a shoestring budget. We appealed to major artists like Antony and the Johnsons, Cocorosie, and Magentic Fields, all of whom were kind enough to work within our meager budget and grant us the rights to their music because they believed in the project.
Here is a list of songs that were included in the finished film along with links to the artists' music.
